The Week of The Young Child is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).  The purpose of the Week of The Young child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet their needs.

The theme for the 2014 Week of The Young Child is “The Early Years Are the Learning Years!” The focus is on early childhood teachers who are at the heart of quality early learning and emphasizes the importance of foundational learning in the early childhood years.

On Tuesday, April 8th each Malvern School location will participate in “Science Fun Day.” The children will explore the sciences using their five senses, doing hands-on experiments such as making goop, erupting volcanoes, mixing new creations and charting reactions.

Other events are planned on a location-by- location basis and will include: family breakfast, costume days, seed planting, musical visitors and Bike-A-Thons. Events are designed to encourage imagination, creativity, and exploration to further shape learning and development for the students’ future success.

The Malvern School is a private early childhood education facility with 22 locations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Malvern School’s curriculum is designed to meet or exceed the standards set by NAEYC with 11 of its 22 locations NAEYC accredited. For additional information visit MalvernSchool.com
